Gorgeous by Kristy Marie

Gorgeous by Kristy Marie is my first book by her and I'm now wondering: where in the heck has she been all my life? Kristy Marie definitely blew me away with Cade and Breck's story. It was everything you could possibly want and more! I am so deeply in love with these characters, their stories, and everything about them!

This isn't your traditional story where boy meets girl, girl meets boy, and they fall in love with everything in between.

This is a story about honor, second chances, self-forgiveness, family, the brotherhood, loyalty, finding happiness, and accepting love.

Cade and Breck are both damaged souls, still on to, still mourning the loss of a soul that was gone, Bennett Brannon.

Cade is dealing with much more than being damaged, night after night, he's being tortured by his demons, the demons of his past, the death of his brothers.

Breck drops everything to check up on the man in whom her brother spoke highly about, to save him, and tell him the truth.

In chapter one, you're pulled right into a letter by Private Bennett Brannon and as the story progresses and the letters are more frequent, you realize how much the characters are so intertwined.

It also provided the perfect backdrop for a love story to begin.

Major Cade Jameson.

The war veteran dealing with PTSD. My heart broke into a million and one pieces when I read his story. But I couldn't help but fall in love with Cade Jameson instantly! Even when he was damaged, closed-off, broody, and still learning how to grieve his unit... He was sexy as sin! And my favorite part was him being a total asshole, I can't deny it! It did things to me and I love a hothole! He's so sexy! (Whoops, I can't seem to help myself!)

But there was also a side of Cade that shined through as the story progressed.

"I'm not perfect, Breck. I'm flawed and damaged beyond what is repairable."

Even in his darkest, most vulnerable moments... his loyalty, his protectiveness, and his honor for the fallen showed his light, his stregnth, and the goodness within him.

"I'm rising from the ashes. I'm letting go."

What got me in ugly tears was the reunion he had with his family, the realization that dawned on him, and his willingness to move forward and to accept love, to accept Breck, and to acccept his family. GOD I WAS IN TEARS! Anniston and Theo made sure to keep his family in the loop of Cade's recovery. Cade was so lost, so deep into his self-loathing that he didn't realize what he was doing to his own family.

Cade finally realized that he was ready to face them.

But my emotions sure weren't ready for it!

Breckyln Brannon.

I love Brecklyn so much! I loved how sweet, brave, selfless, loving, understanding, sassy, and fearless she was.

"#IWishIWasAsStrongAsYou #WonderWomanDoesntHaveShitOnYou"

She went above and beyond for Cade. She handled and cared for him when he was at his seemingly best, but she especially gave her all when he was at his worst. She's courageous and carries so much strength! She's quite possibly one of the strongest heroines I've ever read! Even when Cade wasn't being the most understanding, even when he was pushing her away. Breck never gave up! And I loved how she fell in love with Major Cade before she met him, I thought it was the sweetest thing ever! *swoon*

Brecklyn definitely brought Cade to his knees! Literally ;) The steamy shared moments between Cade and Breck were so hot! Even when Cade grunts, it's a turn on! So you can imagine how Breck felt ;)

Kristy was able to write both Cade and Breck's love story so beautifully, even though it was complicated at times. Their story was heart-wrenching, emotional, passionating, frustrating, entertaining, and so sweet!!

"Can I offer you a ride home?"

They overcame, they conquered, they fell in love.

I also loved and enjoyed how she was able to bring the brotherhood to life! The banter between them, Anniston,and Breck made me fall in love with each other her characters! And can I just mention Tim? Because good Lord, he's H O T! ;)

And can I just mention how Jess and Milos were the best!? They supported Breck until the very end, like best friends do!

I definitely will be devouring everything and anything that Kristy Marie writes! Kristy is phenomenal, amazing, inspiring, and I'm in complete awe of her! She has easily become one of my favorite, one-click authors! I'm so glad that she shared such a beautiful story and I know there is more to come!

Gorgeous will forever be engraved in my heart and soul!
