Taken: A Mafia Romance by Logan Chance

This is my first book by this author and I was intrigued by the blurb and the fact that it’s a mafia story! I enjoy a good mafia story.

Logan pulls you in by introducing our characters at a young age, and as you continue to read, you watch the characters grow. I truly felt the hate that Rhiannon's father had towards Xavier, but I also felt the underlying that he thought Xavier would make good use for him. Although, Xavier refused at every turn. He only stayed close for Rhiannon.

I do wish we saw more development between Rhiannon and Xavier when the twists happens. I felt as if Xavier showed how cold he could be, distant, and uninterested in her. Especially when he took her.

Then to suddenly reveal his true intentions and plans, it made me have whiplash! For so many chapters, when he first took her, it almost felt like he hated her.

This story had steam and love, but at the half way point, it was mostly about revenge. And what a way to dish it out!

But overall, it was a good read! I just wish there was more between Rhiannon and Xavier.
